Lucky 7 Casino has selected the date of June 1, 2020 to re-open with reduced service. This will be the first part of a limited capacity, multi-phased opening process. A rigorous planning process was used to create a comprehensive Health and Sanitation Program that has been reviewed and approved by the Public Health Official of United Indian Health Services covering all areas of the Casino and property. During this phase, only the Casino will be open and with limited capacity. All other areas of the property will continue to be closed.
Masks will be required to enter and to be worn while on the property for both guests and staff. Guests are requested to bring their own mask, however Lucky 7 Casino will provide them if needed. All guests and staff will have a quick, non-contact temperature check at the entrance door. Throughout the property, we will have hand sanitizing stations, health sign reminders and social distancing barriers. During this initial phase, there will be no alcohol sales or smoking allowed. Limited food and soda service will be available. To encourage physical distancing, every other slot machine will be off and table games suspended.
“In consultation with Del Norte County, and the Governor of the State of California we feel confident in our plan to re-open with the implementation of our Health and Sanitation Program,” said John Scott, General Manager of the Lucky 7 Casino.
Oregon Governor Kate Brown has approved Curry County to enter into Phase one of re-opening their County effective May 15, 2020. Del Norte County is submitting a plan to the State of California for a variance to speed up the re-opening of Del Norte County, including the opening of vacation rentals. The Lucky 7 Casino leadership has been in communication with a network of rural tribal casinos who are planning on opening in the month of May, and are monitoring their openings.
“If there is a significant change in the status of the COVID-19 virus within our community we will re-assess our decision and plan accordingly,” said Scott.
Further ongoing announcements and news will be sent via our email list and social media channels.
